From Australia to Zimbabwe, Randa Bishop has photographed in over 60 countries and 50 islands, throughout the world. She has particularly large color archives of Canada, Greece, Las, Vegas, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
Travel images appear regularly in leading American and International magazines, and newspapers--publications such as National Geographic, Travel & Leisure, Geo, Stern, Los Angeles Times, Junior Scholastic, Geo Mundo, and many, many others. Her feature stories cover a wide variety of subjects from solar-powered airplanes to young children learning how to be astronauts.
Her new book, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - A PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT, published by Twin Lights, is filled with 128 pages of colorful images, not only of The Strip, but also includes photos around the Las Vegas area, such as museums, churches, the desert, as well as popular touristic sites.
The travel guidebook, CITYSPOTS NEW YORK, Thomas Cook Publishing, takes the reader through New York City, with a familiarity that comes from a writer born in Manhattan, who lived and worked in the city for decades. It is illustrated with her photographs.
Her images appear in 22 of the TRAVEL BUG Guide Book series, she is a principal photographer for the Canada, Greece, and Caribbean guides. Her photographs exclusively illustrate the garden books - HERBS THROUGH THE SEASONS; COUNTRY WREATHS, and A WORLD OF WREATHS. Her work is prominent in GREATER PORTLAND VISIONS; HUMAN POWERED VEHICLES, and is included in the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC book: WONDERS OF THE WORLD. She also contributed a short article "Tips From a Pro" and several photographs to Michael Sedge's book, THE PHOTOJOURNALIST'S GUIDE TO MAKING MONEY.
She has been honored by Kodak's "Professional Photographer's Showcase Award" with her work exhibited at Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida, and is one of the photographer's included in TEN THOUSAND EYES - a book celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Photography. She wrote a travel photography column for Outdoor Travel & Photography magazine and the "Focusing On...." column for Relax magazine.
Randa Bishop has had solo-exhibitions in Washington, D.C.; New York City; Las Vegas; Athens, Greece; and on the island of Patmos, Greece. Her photographs have been shown in museums, such as the Smithsonian Institute. Currently, a selection of her images are on permanent exhibition in Periyali Restaurant in New York City, at the Boyce & Gianni law firm in Las Vegas, and at the Scala Hotel in Patmos, Greece.
She is a member of the Travel Journalists Guild, and the American Society of Media Photographers.

Randa Bishop was born in New York City. She was graduated from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and holds an MBA (with Honors) from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration, and achieved Beta Gamma Sigma honor society status. She worked in marketing for over a decade in the cruise ship industry with Chandris Lines (now Celebrity Cruises) and then with Cunard Line, before turning to photography and writing as a career. She speaks three languages.
